.JPG&w=250) The 7.1 magnitude quake struck in 14th morning caused more than 2,000 death, injuring tens of thousands of people and displacing hundreds of thousands more, according to Chinese officials.
The relief team from Chengdu leaded by the Chengdu Regional Office Director has arrived Yushu safely at 6:30pm (Tuesday 20th) ahead of the trucks of bedding kits and met up with the Emergency Response officer who is already in Yushu since the quake struck.

The team then worked with the Civil Affair Bureau to have the 1st distribution on Wednesday 21st morning after the moment of silence at 10am as it was the national mourning day of China. These 1,000 sets of blankets and mattresses would ease the distress of most needy in Jiegy and Longbao townships where were seriously hit by the quake.
The rest of the relief team were doing need assessment among the camp where tents set up, it is for ADRA China to address the needs of the survivors in the second phase of response.
