HKG gives HK$3 Million to ADRA China for Philippine Typhoon Relief
The Hong Kong government Disaster Relief Fund has given a grant of HK$3 million to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency China (ADRA China) to provide food relief to survivors of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. In collaboration with implementing office ADRA Philippines, food packages will be distributed to more than 12,000 households in eleven municipalities in the province of Capiz. The project commenced on Christmas Eve in 2013 and is expected to come to completion by the end of February 2014. ADRA China was one of six recipients of the grant among other NGOs such as World Vision, Save the Children and CEDAR Fund.
